West Coast fast charging network operator EVCS plans to deploy 300 new chargers across California, Oregon, and Washington. The order consists of 300 50 kW Tritium RTM fast chargers, bringing the total number of Tritium DC fast chargers in the EVCS network to over 800.
In November 2021, Tritium and EVCS announced an agreement to add over 500 DC fast chargers to EVCS’s network, many of which have already been installed as part of an upgrade of the West Coast Electric Highway. The new fast chargers will be installed in high-traffic areas, including retail locations and transit centers, underserved communities where access to chargers is limited, and near highways and tourist centers.
EVCS, which offers a “carbon-neutral network” and an unlimited subscription charging plan, aims to expand its empire to more than 35 new cities, and to operate some 1,500 chargers by the end of 2023.
