It’s small, reasonably lightweight, has cool styling, and is unmistakably Cannondale. The ethos of the Compact Neo e-bike is to get riders from work to home or around the town in style, without the cumbersome feeling of a traditional e-bike.
Cannondale Compact Neo e-bike Frame Design
The Cannondale Compact Neo e-bike comes in one size frame size and rolls on 20-inch wheels. A universal frame size makes the bike easier for multi-rider use with easily adjustable seat and bar height.
The 20″ x 2.35″ wheels make it highly maneuverable in crowded areas and reduce weight. The Compact Neo e-bike weighs around 40 pounds and is lighter than some but still pretty heavy. The battery is expertly hidden in the frame’s downtube and maintains a sleek acoustic look.

For the Love of Travel
The Cannondale Compact Neo e-bike folds slightly for transportation and easy storage — no tools needed.
The bars use a quick release to fold easily to lay flat across the top of the frame. The pedals use a relatively common folding mechanism that reduces the bulk and makes the bike easier to store/transport.
The full-folded Cannondale Compact Neo will fit easily in an efficient office or tucked away in a corner — a fantastic feature for those with limited space.
Built for Commuting
Another personality of the Cannondale Compact Neo e-bike is that commuter. The complete bike arrives with front and lights, full fenders, and a rear rack for transporting your goods or work.
Cannondale Compact Neo e-bike Assist Levels
The Compact Neo arrives with three different assist levels, plus a convenient walk mode to help when loaded. The Compact Neo e-bike will go up to 20 mph (25 km/h) with natural on/off power assist. The rear-hub Hyena drive system offers enough power and assistance to get you up the steepest hill or carry the heaviest gear.
What’s the battery life?
Inside the downtube of the Cannondale Compact Neo sits a 250Wh battery. Cannondale says the 250Wh battery will travel nearly 47 miles (depending on the support mode used) on a single charge.

The Cannondale Compact Neo e-bike comes in a complete bike for $1999. Color options include Smoke gloss black with reflective logos or Chalk white (pictured below) with acid-red reflective accents.
