Swiss Side opens up their second-generation aerodynamic road wheel tech to mixed-surfaces with new Hadron² All-Road wheelsets. Promising more drag reductions, improved crosswind sailing effect, and stability in a wide range of wind conditions, the wider Hadron² AR wheels become more versatile riding asphalt, dirt & gravel roads.
Swiss Side Hadron² All-Road aero wheels
Much like the Hadron² Ultimate aero road wheels leveraged tech that Swiss Side refined with DT Swiss’ ARC aero road family, these new Hadron² All-Road wheels share tech with DT’s latest ERC endurance road lineup, and the same familiar rim shape. The difference between DT endurance and Swiss Side all-road, is that Swiss Side keeps it simple with a single 45mm deep rim offering, simpler spoke spec, and steel-bearing 240 EXP hub tech that all come together to keep pricing a bit more affordable at less than 10g weight penalty.
Tech details
Ready for any road surface, the carbon Swiss Side Hadron² All-Road wheelset starts with a wind tunnel-proven 45mm deep ‘happy medium’ blunt U-nosed aero shape with flatter V-profile sides for improved aero performance. The hooked rim measures 22mm internal, and 28.5mm externally – and subtle, understated graphics.
The wheels are laced 2x with 24 DT Swiss 240 EXP straight-pull hubs rolling on high-quality sealed steel bearings, using T-head DT Aero Comp spokes front & rear, and feature hidden DT Pro Lock alloy nipples. The 12mm thru-axle centerlock hubs include 36T Ratchet EXP engagement & Shimano HG freehubs standard. SRAM XDR & Campagnolo N3W bodies are available separately to work with any 10-13sp groupset.
Complete Hadron² All-Road wheelsets are claimed to weigh 1528g for the pair with a 120kg rider+bike weight limit.
