Chris Akrigg has always been one of our favorite riders to watch. Seamlessly blending trials, MTB, BMX, and other influences, he often makes the impossible look rather easy.

In 2019, Akrigg announced that after 12 years with Mongoose bikes, he was leaving the brand. That found him riding for GT bikes, and eventually incorporating more ebikes into his riding. Now, three years later, Akrigg once again has a new sponsor – Whyte Bikes. The move makes a lot of sense with a legendary British rider riding for a British bike brand that has a wide range of products including ebikes.

Specifically, the Whyte E-160 RSX ebike ridden by Chris Akrigg in Going Beyond, Episode 1 at the top of this page. The bike check above outlines Akrigg’s basic set up for the E-160, but this won’t be the only Whyte Bike you see him on. According to Whyte, “Alongside the E-160 RSX, Chris is also riding our award-winning 29er trail hardtail, the 629, our versatile T-140 29 RS full suspension trail bike, and our progressive rough gravel bike, the Gisburn, so expect to see them all being fully Akrigg-ed soon.”

We can’t wait.
