CATL to supply Honda with 123 GWh of EV batteries by 2030

CATL and Honda Motor China have announced that Honda will purchase 123 GWh of CATL’s EV batteries in China from 2024 through 2030.

In 2020, CATL and Honda signed an agreement to form a strategic alliance, which has enabled the two companies to cooperate in a broad range of areas, including joint development, stable supply and the recycling and reuse of batteries. The latest deal is seen as a further strengthening of their partnership.

The battery supply agreement will secure a long-term stable battery supply for Honda and enable both companies to maintain their position in the e-mobility transition, says CATL.
