Everybody loves a great two-for-one deal — be it beers, burgers, or bicycles.

Wait, did I say bicycles? Evidently, some bike brands have too much inventory, because industry standbys Marin and Spinergy have both announced some epic deals.

For the next month and a half, Marin will ship an extra bike free of charge when customers purchase one of three select models. And over at Spinergy, customers get the same deal for complete wheelsets, including road, gravel, and MTB/eMTB models.

Sound too good to be true? I thought so, but read on for the details.

Marin: 2-For-1 Bike Deal

Since January 6, Marin has been offering the kind of deal that doesn’t often occur with big-ticket items, especially for one of cycling’s most beloved brands.

When you buy one of three Marin models, you will receive either an additional adult bike, or a Donky Jr. kids bike, for free. Available models include the Eldridge Grade 1, Eldridge Grade, or Sky Trail.

The Eldridge Grade 1 ($549 MSRP) aims for recreational riders looking to get started on singletrack and dirt trails with a mountain bike “built for real trails,” Marin says. The Eldridge Grade ($499) offers a slight difference with a SR/Suntour XCM fork, while the Sky Trail ($399) offers some flexibility for riders looking for something that can handle both commutes and mountain bike trails.

Apparently, the first month of this offering has been going well (shocking, I know), as Marin said shipping times have increased “due to the overwhelming success of the promotion.” However, the deal is currently slated to continue until March 15, so if this sounds appealing, we suggest getting in while the getting is good.

Note that getting the free bike will cost you an extra $50 in shipping.

This company based in San Marcos, Calif. either ended up with too many wheels, or it’s truly as altruistic as it sounds in this news release.

“Spinergy understands that cycling can be an expensive hobby and in the current economic situation everyone could use a little help,” the release said. “So, for a limited time we are offering riders a free Spinergy alloy wheelset with the purchase of any of Spinergy Road, Gravel, MTB or eMTB carbon models.”

All you have to do for this one is add both your desired wheelsets to the shopping cart, use the code BOGOSPIN, and the price of the alloy set will be canceled at checkout. According to Spinergy, that amounts to $839 of savings. Customers can also mix and match the category or size of the wheelsets. The wheels are made in North America and feature the company’s patented fiber spokes, 44 series hubs, and Hadley Racing Cassette bodies.
