All-Citys Space Horse is rocketing to planet flat bar, rolling out an all-new twist on its classic do-it-all/light-touring frame. The All-City Space Horse MicroSHIFT Flatbar brings another dimension to the primarily drop-bar All-City lineup.
Though the frame is the same, the updated MicroSHIFT component groupset and cockpit take this versatile ride in a new direction.
MicroSHIFT Flatbar – New build, new personality
With the addition of the 10-speed MicroSHIFT Advent X drivetrain, the Space Horse takes a more approachable posture. The All-City MicroSHIFT Flatbar complete bike is available for $1,649 MSRP. Considering the frameset for the Space Horse frameset sells for $1,149, and a complete Shimano Tiagra build goes for $2,649 — that’s a great deal.
For those unfamiliar, the All-City Space Horse is the brand’s light-touring, do-it-all frameset. The frameset is crafted from 612 Select (double butted 4130) steel tubes and can tackle anything from centuries to loaded tours or gravel adventures. The frame can fit a 47mm tire when paired with a 650b wheelset and 45mm when built with a 700c, with many mounts for fenders or racks.
The frameset features custom dropouts, a custom lugged fork crown, brazed-on seat collar, pantographed bottom bracket, and reinforced bottle bosses and will be available in 7 frame sizes: 43 cm – 61 cm.
