If you need a specific chainring for your crankset, there’s a good chance Wolf Tooth Components has it. If not, just wait a few months – they’re probably already working on it! Adding to their collection of direct mount chainrings are new options in both round and their PowerTrac Elliptical for SRAM 8-Bolt cranksets.
For the most part, SRAM has used a 3-Bolt design for their direct mount chainrings. But for power meter cranks and new DUB road cranks, they use another 8-Bolt standard. Wolf Tooth Components already offered two round rings for the 8-Bolt pattern, but now they’ve drastically expanded the options in both round and oval.
On the round side, WTC has added two new sizes and now offers 38, 40, 42, and 44t rings.
The 8-Bolt PowerTrac Elliptical rings are completely new, and also available in 38, 40, 42, and 44t.
All of the 8-Bolt rings are sold in Drop-Stop B Tooth Profiles which is meant for most chains including the SRAM Flattop AXS chains. The only chains they are not compatible with are Shimano 12 speed Hyperglide+ chains. The rings are available with a standard offset for a 45mm chainline.
Prices for both round and PowerTrac Elliptica start at $84.95 and they’re available now.
