Limited Edition brake pads w/ gold springs? Sinter Elite pads cost more than some complete brakes!

Sinter claims to have been focused on braking power and making brake pads for 50 years, specializing in brake pads for racing karts and high-performance motorcycles, such as Aprilia and the KTM Duke.

They also claim to use that 50 years of brake pad experience to now make what they believe to be the highest performance brake pads ever made for road, gravel, and XC bikes.

Introducing The Elite by Sinter.

The Deets

The Elite Brake pads use titanium backing plates that Sinter claims have superior heat management as it has a lower thermal conductivity than steel. They say that this results in the brake fluid operating within a more consistent temperature range. Sinter claims that this “more consistent temperature” means that they are able to ensure exceptional modulation and a long life span for the pads. Sinter says that when the titanium backing plate is coupled with their organic compound which has similar heat dispersion properties, they retain more heat in the pad and the caliper, meaning less stress on the seals and other parts of the braking system.

Plus, if weight is really, really important to you, the Elite’s titanium backing plate will be lighter than a steel backing plate.

Sinter says that every aspect of their design contributes to a lever feel that is unforgettable once experienced. The initially soft feel gives immediate feedback and micro-control over the rotors, leading to an aggressive but effortless bite you can depend on.

Sinter says the Elite Brake pads have:

  • Zero fade and silent operation due to advanced compound and titanium backing plates
  • Lower initial bite and softer feel than our Green/Race pads, providing increased modulation and feedback
  • Faster break-in and excellent life-span

The Elite brake pads are handmade in Slovenia and only being produced to a limited 500 sets that are currently available for road, gravel, and XC bikes with Shimano calipers using K Type pads: XTR 9100, XTR9000, Dura-Ace, Ultegra, 105, GRX.
