Reynolds just announced an updated G-Series wheelset with wider rims and a lighter overall package. The updated rim, hub, and overall design trickles nicely down the line, packing the update with something for every rider.
The updated lines represent a change in the pricing structure, with builds starting at $1399, offering three different build options for each line designed to excel in your particular gravel discipline.
Reynolds G-Series — What’s new?
Like the Reynolds ATR series, the G-Series gets race dialed for everything gravel and adventure. The updated G-Series rims feature a boxy yet versatile 26mm deep, 25mm wide shape. Depending on your ride needs, the G-Series line is available in both 700 and 650b sizes.
The Blacklabel G700/G650 PRO and EXP version use Reynolds MR5 IDM TSS carbon and technology. The G700/G650 base model uses the standard CR3 TSS carbon and tech, though still employing the updated rim shape and depth.
The hookless, tubeless-ready, 25mm internal channel (30mm external) rims are perfectly compatible with both road and gravel tires from 28mm to 45mm.
The rims are built using Reyondls MR5 layup process, making for lightweight and super-durable construction worthy of the brand’s lifetime guarantee.
The Blacklabel PRO hubs employ Reynolds Industry Nine road Torch hubs with 4° engagement.
For the G700/G650 EXP, Reynolds introduces a new Ringle Super Bubba X Road DB hub, with 8° engagement and three pawls.
The G700/G650 Reynolds base model drops another new hub, the Ringle SRX Road DB, 100% CNC machined with 12° engagement.
