The Formula CTS (Compression Tuning System) damper inserts get another option, this one aimed at lighter riders that don’t need as much compression damping but still want good mid- and end-stroke support.
The new Violet CTS insert has the most open high-speed valve of all the options, allowing the most damping fluid flow during high-speed hits. Think, rock gardens and roots. They say it’s also great for leisurely riders that just want a really plush ride, too.
The CTS inserts are, essentially, replaceable high-speed compression damping circuits, giving you the ability to custom tune your suspension without sending it off for third-party servicing. Read our full launch coverage of the system for more details.
The external compression settings still work, letting you adjust low speed damping for more or less support in g-outs, berms, and when cranking on the bike. But the high speed damping stays very open, unaffected.
The new Violet insert replaces the Gold insert and will come stock in all forks. The CTS inserts are each sold separately for ~€60 and are easily swapped without removing or disassembling the fork (video tutorial here). A complete kit with tool is €228.
