Circuit protection specialist Littelfuse has unveiled a new high-current, high-voltage, compact cartridge fuse designed for overcurrent protection in EV charging equipment.

The 607 Series is rated at 500 V, from 40 to 63 A, and has a 10,000 A interrupting rating. Littelfuse is offering the through-hole fuses in tray packages of 500.

The fuses work for both AC and DC inputs, offer an operating temperature range from -55 degrees to 125 degrees Celsius, and are RoHS compliant.

The company also says the fuses are halogen-free and lead-free.

“Today’s power designers need greater layout flexibility to help reduce the size of their high-wattage designs while increasing reliability,” said Global Product Manager of the Electronics Business Unit at Littelfuse Style Liu. “Not only does the 607 series offer a very compact footprint that saves board space, but it also offers a very high interrupt rating and a high current rating when compared to similar fuses on the market.”
