Forsee Power, a French specialist in smart EV battery systems, has renewed its partnership with IVECO France, which sells vehicles under the brands IVECO Bus and Heuliez. Forsee and IVECO have been working together to develop zero-emission public transport since 2013.

Forsee produces its battery systems at its factory in Chasseneuil-du-Poitou, France, just 100 kilometers away from Rorthais, where IVECO France produces its electric buses.

Forsee is supplying its new generation of ZEN 42 batteries for the Heuliez GX 337 ELEC model. The ZEN 42 battery pack is a 42 kWh modular system for heavy-duty EVs. It offers specific energy of 147 Wh/kg—20% more than offered by the previous-generation ZEN 35—and is completely interchangeable with the older battery pack.

In 2021, a 12-meter IVECO E-WAY equipped with a Forsee Power battery pack achieved a record 543 kilometers of range on a single charge.

Forsee Power also offers a range of services, including financing solutions (battery leasing) and second-life solutions for reusing vehicle batteries in stationary energy storage systems.

“With more than 25 years of expertise in batteries, we know how to develop technologies capable of meeting any need for power and energy,” said Forsee Power founder and CEO Christophe Gurtner. “Our product innovation approach is entirely based on eco-design, which establishes objectives for extended life cycles, superior performance and higher safety standards.”
