SUVs have grown in popularity among Indian shoppers in recent years. So much so that many automakers have added mid-size SUVs and mini-SUVs to their inventory in India. Now, one of an SUV’s important characteristics that assists on Indian roads is its ground clearance. The vehicles with the highest ground clearance priced under Rs. 10 lakh are listed in this article.

Tata Nexon – 209mm

The sub-four meter SUV with the highest ground clearance (209 mm) under Rs. 10 lakh is the Tata Nexon. The vehicle starts at Rs. 8 lakh (ex-showroom) and is offered with both gasoline and diesel engines. Notably, the Nexon will get a much-anticipated makeover in October of this year.

Kia Sonet, Nissan Magnite, Renault Kiger – 205mm

The same 205mm of ground clearance is offered by three SUVs, the Kia Sonet, Nissan Magnite, and Renault Kiger, which have beginning prices of Rs. 7.79 lakh, Rs. 6 lakh, and Rs. 6.50 lakh, respectively.

Maruti Suzuki Brezza – 200mm

The automaker has unveiled a new Knight Edition for the Venue that comes in three models and two different powertrain options.

Maruti Suzuki Fronx – 190mm

Maruti Suzuki launched the Baleno-based crossover, the Fronx in India in April this year. The model is available at a starting price of Rs. 7.47 lakh (ex-showroom). Although based on the Baleno hatchback, the Fronx offers better ground clearance at 190mm. Notably, with the introduction of the Fronx, the automaker also brought back the boosterjet petrol engine.
